Law Mefor Decorated as Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation's Latest Ambassador

The Anambra State Commissioner of Information, Dr Law Mefor, has been formally recognized and honored as a Sweet Home Ambassador. This prestigious distinction acknowledges his remarkable contributions and dedication to public service, particularly in the realm of information and communication.
This esteemed honour was bestowed upon him in his office at Awka, by the Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the media and governance, marked by the presentation of the foundation's official muffler. As the Commissioner for Information in Anambra State, Dr. Mefor's commitment to public service and his expertise in media and governance have earned him the prestigious recognition.
Notable dignitaries in attendance at the event included Professor Edwin Chukwuma, Postgraduate Candidate for Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, and Mr. Caleb Festus Okeke-Enyobi, Director of Friend of Friends Schools and Nnewi Museum. They provided support to Rev. Dr. Austin Ifeanyi Epunam (JP), President of Sweet Home Africa Foundation, during the investiture ceremony.
During the visit, Reverend Dr. Austin Ifeanyi Epunam also presented a formal letter to the Anambra State Government, addressing key developments within Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, advocating for the conduct of free, fair, and transparent elections, slated for 6th April, 2025.
Rev. Dr. Epunam underscored the imperative of adhering to democratic principles within Nnewi's premier socio-cultural organization, emphasizing the community's fervent desire for effective governance. He highlighted the necessity of upholding transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in decision-making processes to foster a culture of good governance.
The foundation took a moment to reflect on a notable past initiative, where ₦2,000,000 was refunded from the initial ₦10,000,000 allocation made by former Governor Willie Obiano for the Emzor Malaria Project. According to Rev. Dr. Epunam, the project was successfully facilitated through the Ministry of Health, under the leadership of Prof. Joseph Akabuike. "This initiative showcases the foundation's commitment to transparency and accountability in its projects", he added .
