LP Candidate Congratulates Archbishop Okeke, Celebrates Kinsman Fr. Dominic’s Ordination

The Labour Party's senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue, has congratulated His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, on the celebration of his 45th anniversary of priestly ordination, marked with the ordination of eleven new priests at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ogidi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Among the newly ordained was Rev. Fr. Dominic Nnoruka, a kinsman of the candidate from Ogidi. The candidate, who attended the ceremony as a special guest, described Archbishop Okeke as “one of the leading generals” of the Church and praised the ordination as a powerful testament to the enduring faith, dedication, and spiritual vitality of the Church in Anambra State.
In his remarks at the event, the candidate congratulated Rev. Fr. Nnoruka and urged him to remain authentic, stay focused, and face the inevitable tribulations of priestly ministry with determination. He emphasized unwavering commitment to one’s calling, prayerful dependence on God, and selfless service to the people qualities he said are especially critical in these challenging times.
“The priesthood is a noble and demanding vocation. I urge you, Fr. Dominic, to always be true to yourself, keep your eyes fixed on Christ, and face every challenge with courage and determination. The Lord who has called you will surely equip and sustain you,” the candidate said.
The candidate reaffirmed his deep respect for the Catholic Church and its pivotal role in the moral, spiritual, and socio-economic development of Anambra State. He pledged continued partnership with religious institutions, traditional rulers, and community leaders to build a more prosperous and value-driven Anambra Central Senatorial District.
He also congratulated the family of Rev. Fr. Dominic Nnoruka, the rector and priests of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and the entire Onitsha Archdiocese, praying that the grace of the new priesthood continue to shine brightly in Fr. Nnoruka’s life and ministry.
