Anambra State Government expresses its profound gratitude to the people of Anambra for the warm welcome extended to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his historic state visit.

In a statement in Awka, Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, highlighted the success of the visit, noting that it yielded substantial benefits for the state and its citizens.

According to Mefor, the President responded favourably to Governor Soludo's requests, committing to support crucial initiatives. These include mitigating erosion, integrating Anambra into the national railway network, and restoring the state's position in the nation's gas master plan. Additionally, the President pledged to complete the long-abandoned federal roads connecting Anambra and Kogi states, thereby enhancing accessibility and reducing travel time to the South-South region and Abuja.

Mefor further noted that the President used the visit to gauge public sentiment and commission several projects completed by the Soludo administration. These projects include the cutting-edge Anambra Government House Mini-city, the largest in Nigeria after Aso Rock Villa, and Solution Fun City, which features a leisure park, family fun house, and country club.

The President also unveiled the Our Heroes Past Monument and Emeka Anyaoku Boulevard, a modern eight-lane dual highway leading to the new government building, and lit the Light of the Nation Tower.
