Gov. Soludo Confirms Prof. Kate Omenugha as COOU's Substantive VC

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has officially approved the appointment of Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha as the Substantive Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU). 

The formal appointment letter was presented to Professor Omenugha by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, at a ceremony held at the Government House, Light House, Awka.

According to an official statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, Professor Omenugha's confirmation is a testament to her exceptional leadership and outstanding performance as Acting Vice Chancellor.

 During her tenure, the university underwent significant reforms, driven by her visionary leadership, which has positioned COOU for enhanced academic excellence and innovation. The appointment follows a rigorous selection process, underscoring Governor Soludo's commitment to merit-based appointments.

Governor Soludo emphasized the importance of strong leadership in the state's universities, highlighting his government's focus on promoting educational excellence. He noted that Professor Omenugha's proven leadership abilities and forward-thinking approach make her ideally suited to drive COOU's continued success and advancement.
