Anambra Police Recover Arms, Vehicle, And Cash In Security Operation

‎Operatives from the Anambra State Commissioner of Police (CP) Special Patrol recovered a pump-action rifle, a locally made single-barreled rifle, a grey Toyota Highlander (registration: UWN 680 PE), and N636,700 in suspected stolen cash during an offensive security operation in Abagana around 5:00 p.m. on December 16, 2025. Other incriminating items were also seized.


‎Anambra Police Public Relations Officer SP Tochukwu Ikenga disclosed this in a statement to journalists in Awka noting,  the recoveries followed the suspects' abandonment of their operational vehicle after it crashed during a hot pursuit by the operatives.


‎Police are actively tracking the fleeing suspects, with intensified intelligence-led operations underway to ensure their arrest. Further updates will be provided as developments unfold.



‎The Command reaffirms its dedication to proactive policing, upholding law and order, and protecting lives and property across the state.
