Soludo's Wife Mobilizes Support for Measles-Rubella Vaccination Drive, Anambra

The Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has appealed to all stakeholders responsible for promoting the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Programme to exert their utmost efforts.
In a statement, Dr. Soludo urged Parents, Local Government Chairmen and their wives, Councillors, Traditional Rulers, Presidents General and Women Leaders in the 179 Communities in Anambra State, Religious Leaders, School Heads, Opinion Leaders, Civil Society Groups, Ward Leaders, Kindred Heads, and Leaders of Community and Religious Women Groups to actively support and disseminate information about the campaign across the state.
She reiterated that the Measles-Rubella vaccine is safe, efficacious, and effective, and encouraged the government and health workers administering the vaccine to ensure all eligible children (aged 9 months to 14 years) are vaccinated.
Dr. Soludo emphasized that achieving maximum coverage in the vaccination programme requires collective effort, stating that no child should be denied the opportunity to grow and pursue their future without the setback of preventable diseases.
She expressed her hope that the objectives of the exercise will be successfully achieved.
