Anambra East Locks Down for Mandatory Clean-Up on March 28 – No Movement Allowed

‎In accordance with governor soludo's vision to cleaningness the Anambra East Local Government Area has enforce a strict sanitation drive on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's vision for a cleaner Anambra State.

‎This was made known in a statement signed by the Mayor, Anambra East Local Government Area, Honourable Ifeanyi Chinweze warned that no human or vehicular movement will be permitted, except for sanitation workers and essential personnel.

‎Hon Chinweze called on all residents around and within the local government to join in cleaning their surroundings emphasizes that anyone found going contrarily to the rules will face prosecution at a mobile court.

‎He informed the people that the clean up will kick start from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM adding that cleaningness is next to godliness and everyone must be work in accordance with the state government policies.

‎According to him, the initiative underscores the administration's commitment to environmental hygiene and community participation.
