Anambra Police Command Advocates Dialogue Over Protest on Electricity Issues

‎The Anambra State Police Command has convened a meeting with organizers of a planned protest, dubbed "Enough Is Enough," at the State Police Command Headquarters in Awka today, March 9th, 2026. The protest was slated to address concerns over persistent electricity failures, alleged overestimated billing, and related issues.

‎Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Ibrahim Ezekiel acknowledged the legitimacy of the concerns, encouraging the group to pursue constructive dialogue with relevant authorities responsible for electricity regulation and distribution.

‎He emphasized that street protests could disrupt public order and urged stakeholders to utilize peaceful and lawful channels to address grievances.

‎The Police Command reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order while promoting peaceful engagement between citizens and authorities.
