Anambra Police Strengthens Security Outreach on National Police Day

The Anambra State Police Command marked the third day of the 2026 National Police Day celebrations by showcasing its commitment to enhanced security services and community-oriented policing through a strategic partnership with Premium Trust Bank.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed in an official statement to journalists in Awka that the Command had conducted awareness visits to selected schools, wherein officers imparted education to students and staff on safety protocols, crime prevention strategies, and the significance of collaborative engagement with law enforcement agencies. This initiative seeks to instill a culture of enhanced security consciousness among the youth.
According to the statement, the Command provided charitable aid to community members, highlighting its dual focus on enforcement and public welfare. Such initiatives reflect the Command's determination to enhance trust with residents, advance community policing, and create a more secure, united society.
Notable attendees included ASP Agaba Alexander, Coordinator of the Anambra Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV); Miss Stella Umezinwa, Premium Trust Bank representative; and their team.
