‎President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has criticized the ongoing convention of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as a disorderly assembly that lacks respect for the rule of law.

‎The President delivered these remarks at the State House, Aso Rock, Abuja, during a courtesy visit by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing the incumbent administration’s agenda and promoting the second-term bid of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

‎In a statement published on his official Facebook page, the President asserted: ‎“We will not summit to noise, rascality, or disobedience to lawful court orders. We must uphold democracy, respect the judiciary whether it favours us or not, and remain faithful to the principles that hold our nation together".

‎The ADC has been beset by internal crises that have divided its national leadership into factions, resulting in several unresolved legal disputes. Consequently, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) withdrew recognition from ADC National Chairman David Mark and National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola ahead of the convention.

‎The President further stated that national greatness can only be attained through a united country, a common vision, and a shared future of progress and prosperity for all Nigerians the foundational principles of the Renewed Hope agenda.

‎He maintained that the political maneuvers of the opposition would not impede his resolve to restructure the nation and urged collaborative efforts toward national development.

‎“They cannot scare me off. I have been through this road before and, if I must walk it again and again for our country, I will. There is no better place than Nigeria, and no one will build it for us except ourselves," he declared.

‎He concluded:  "I have listened. I know the journey is not easy. But I give you my word: I will not run from this task. I will not give up. Coordinate the ward level, act as one family, stay focus from what we promised Nigerians and stand firm".
