Anambra Central LP Candidate Intensifies Grassroots Mobilisation with Royal Visit



‎The Labour Party candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue, has presented the party's flag to the Traditional Ruler of Ogidi Kingdom, Igwe Pharm. Alex Uzo Onyido, while seeking royal blessings and support ahead of the forthcoming elections.


‎The visit, which took place at the royal palace in Ogidi, on June 24, attracted party members, supporters and community stakeholders and formed part of the candidate's ongoing grassroots consultations and mobilisation efforts across the senatorial district.


‎Presenting the Labour Party flag to the monarch, Ven. Ikezue described it as a symbol of the party's vision, values and commitment to good governance. He stressed the need for members and supporters to uphold the integrity and reputation of the party at all times.


‎The senatorial candidate reaffirmed his dedication to the ideals of the Labour Party and pledged to deliver quality representation if elected. He assured supporters that he would justify the confidence reposed in him through responsive leadership and effective service.


‎Ven. Ikezue also commended party faithful for their loyalty and sacrifices, urging them to remain united, peaceful and focused as political activities intensify ahead of the elections. He expressed confidence in the party's prospects and pledged to sustain engagement with communities and key stakeholders throughout the district.


‎In his remarks, Igwe Onyido welcomed the Labour Party delegation and commended the candidate's grassroots-oriented approach. He emphasised the importance of maintaining close contact with the people and advised political actors to conduct their activities peacefully and responsibly in the interest of democratic growth and development.


‎Delivering the vote of thanks, Chief Anene Ezukama expressed appreciation to the traditional ruler for receiving the delegation and for his words of counsel. He also thanked party supporters for their steadfast commitment and encouraged them to remain united in promoting the vision and objectives of the Labour Party.
