‎2027: Ikezue Pledges Rescue Mission for Anambra Central, Youths, Women, Elderly, PWDs

By Chizoba Njaka

‎The Labour Party candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue, has declared that the 2027 elections present an opportunity for the people of the district to break away from what he described as years of unfulfilled political promises.

‎Addressing newsmen in Awka, Ven. Ikezue said his proposed representation would focus on delivering practical solutions to the challenges confronting youths, women, the elderly, people living with disabilities and other vulnerable groups across Anambra Central.

‎He said his administration would prioritise the empowerment of youths and women, particularly through initiatives aimed at tackling unemployment and poverty, stressing that the people deserve opportunities that would enable them to become economically independent.

‎The Labour Party candidate also pledged to make the fight against erosion a major priority, promising to advocate for urgent interventions to address erosion-related challenges threatening communities and properties across Anambra Central.

‎According to him, the elderly, particularly those aged 60 and above, should not be left behind in society, noting that his proposed representation would seek measures that would improve their welfare and ensure that they receive greater attention and support.

Ven. Ikezue further promised to champion the interests of people living with disabilities, saying they deserve inclusion, dignity, empowerment and adequate support rather than neglect.

‎He also said he would work to strengthen the voice of the Christian community and the wider body of Christ in Nigeria, promising to advocate for issues affecting them and ensure that their concerns receive appropriate representation.

‎Ven. Ikezue urged the people of Anambra Central to see the 2027 election as an opportunity for a new direction, calling for support for the Labour Party and what he described as a “Rescue Mission” focused on responsive representation, inclusion and tangible development.
