Mothering Sunday: NNPP Aspirant Urges Mothers to Reflect on Their Roles as Christian Women

As Christian women mark this year's Mothering Sunday, Barrister Peter Ekwueme, the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) aspirant for the Anambra South Senatorial Zone bye-election, has issued a heartfelt call to mothers to take a moment to reflect on the pivotal roles they play within their families, churches, and the wider community. This occasion serves as a poignant reminder of the profound impact mothers have on society, and the importance of acknowledging and celebrating their selfless contributions.
In a statement released on his media platform, Barrister Ekwueme underscored the significance of Mothering Sunday by stressing the imperative of mothers fulfilling their familial obligations, with particular emphasis on their pivotal role in child development.
He admonished that the delegation of fundamental parental responsibilities to domestic staff can have deleterious effects on family cohesion and dynamics. Rather, mothers should accord precedence to their roles and engage proactively in the nurturing and upbringing of their children, thereby fostering a stable and supportive family environment.
The data recovery attorney emphasized the importance of empowering women leaders across various Christian denominations to develop and implement strategic initiatives that foster greater contributions from women in family and societal development.
