The Anambra State Police Command's Commissioner, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has cautioned social media personality popularity known as Mr. Martin Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan) against utterances or actions that may compromise peace and stability in the state.

According to a statement issued in Awka by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, CP Orutugu noted that the family of the late Mr. Ifesinachi Onyekere, Managing Director of Fish Magnet outlet, has publicly disassociated themselves from any planned candlelight procession or memorial gathering in his honour. The family has respectfully requested to be allowed to grieve in private, placing their trust in the authorities to handle the matter.

He emphasized that Anambra State's peace and security, maintained through the concerted efforts of the police, other security agencies, and key stakeholders, will not be compromised. He warned that no individual, regardless of their social standing, will be permitted to disrupt the state's existing peace and security framework.

CP Orutugu assured residents and visitors that they can carry out their lawful activities without fear, reaffirming the Command's dedication to upholding law and order. He also cautioned social media users and public figures to exercise restraint and avoid disseminating misinformation or making inflammatory comments.

He warned that anyone who compromises public peace, whether through online or offline activities, will be held accountable and face the full consequences of the law.
