Anambra Police Smash Cultist Hideout, Arrest 6, Recover Firearm and Illicit Substances

The Anambra State Police Command's Special Anti-Cultism Squad in Enugwu-Ukwu has successfully apprehended six suspects, including a 35-year-old woman, in a raid conducted on August 12, 2025, at approximately 2:30 pm, in the 7th Mile area of Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area.
This operation was based on credible intelligence, as stated in an official release in Awka, by the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, The suspects, who are currently undergoing investigation, include: Olisaemeka Izuchukwu, aged 21; Sioma Chisom, aged 22; Chinonso Izuchukwu, aged 20; Chinaza Isioma aged 24; Onyekwelu Miracle, aged 19 and Mrs. Chinenye Eloka Okeke, aged 35.
According to the report, during the raid, the police recovered a fabricated Beretta pistol without a magazine and substantial quantities of illicit drugs, including crystal meth (Mkpuru Mmiri).
