Anambra Police Arrest 4 Suspected Armed Robbers, Kidnappers

The Anambra State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad in Awkuzu has successfully apprehended four suspected members of a notorious gang involved in armed robbery and kidnapping.
According to a press release in Awka by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the arrests were made on September 24, 2025, in Aguleri, following meticulous intelligence gathering, disclosed the names of the suspects as: Uchenna Aniegboka, Sunday Nwakalor, Chukwuebuka Aniegbunam and Onyebuchi Udemba aged 22-40 years old.
The arrests were made based on credible intelligence, and the police recovered the following ammunition such as one pump-action gun, a black Toyota Camry car with registration number SMK 835 FC.
Based on the information gathered, the suspects are currently undergoing interrogation and will be prosecuted once investigations are concluded.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has reiterated the command's determination to rid Anambra State of criminal elements. He urged the public to cooperate with the police by providing timely information to facilitate the fight against crime.
