Anambra Police Boost Security at Schools, Churches Amidst Heightened Vigilance

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has announced enhanced security measures at schools and churches in Anambra State as part of a proactive approach to prevent threats and maintain a secure environment for educational and religious activities.
In an official statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the Commissioner has commended the increasing safety awareness among residents, noting that the community has demonstrated commendable cooperation, vigilance, and a sense of responsibility, significantly supporting the Command's efforts to maintain peace and security in the State.
It was also announced that the Commissioner has instructed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to increase security patrols, bolster intelligence-based operations, and enhance collaboration with community stakeholders for more effective security coordination.
The Command as well reaffirms its dedication to safeguarding lives and property, assuring residents that it will continually adapt and improve security strategies to address emerging challenges and preserve the State's peaceful environment.
