CP Orutugu Hails Officers, Rolls Out Ironclad Yuletide Security Plan Amid ₦33M Welfare Payouts

The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu today, December 12, 2025, rallied strategic officers at the Police Command Headquarters in Awka with a high-stakes lecture, kicking off by relaying Inspector-General of Police commendations for their stellar professionalism during the recent Governorship Election.
With Yuletide festivities looming, CP Orutugu issued a battle cry for intensified proactive policing. Drawing from fresh operational intel by Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and tactical unit heads, he mandated ramped-up intelligence-driven operations, heightened visibility patrols, bulletproof patrol systems, and ironclad execution of the Command’s Anti-Crime Plan to lock down Anambra State for a crime-free holiday.
“Stay vigilant, professional, and community-focused,” he charged. “Crush emerging threats with swift, decisive action".
In a powerful show of support, CP Orutugu handed over cheques totaling ₦33,158,545.65 to 54 beneficiaries under the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Schemes honouring fallen heroes and bolstering officer morale.
The CP vowed unbreakable security for residents this festive season, urging the public: “Stay law-abiding. Report suspicious activities immediately.”
