‎The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has highlighted tuberculosis (TB) as a significant health threat in Nigeria, affecting thousands of individuals and families. In a statement posted on her social media handle, she expressed concern over the alarming mortality rates associated with the disease.

‎Dr. Soludo emphasized that TB diagnosis and treatment are available free of charge in public health facilities and many private hospitals across the country. She urged individuals to take proactive steps to address the issue, stating that ending TB is achievable through collective effort.

‎"Once you or anyone around you notice symptoms such as persistent cough, chest pain, coughing up blood or phlegm, fever, night sweats, fatigue, and unexplained weight loss, rush to any nearby health facility and get yourself checked," she advised.

‎Dr. Soludo stressed that united action is crucial to eliminating TB-related deaths in communities, saying, "Together in action, we can end TB deaths in our communities".
