Blessing CEO Accused of Forgery and Cyberbullying in Cancer Fundraising Controversy

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed receipt of a petition filed by the family of Deborah Mbara, a cancer survivor from Delta State, against social media influencer Blessing CEO (Blessing Okoro Nkiruka).
The petition alleges that Blessing CEO engaged in cyberbullying, forgery, and a multi-million naira fundraising scam by altering Mbara's medical report to falsely claim she had Stage 4 breast cancer.
According to the petition, Blessing CEO used the altered report to solicit donations from the public, raising over N300 million, which was deposited into private accounts without Mbara's knowledge or consent. The family claims that Blessing CEO resorted to cyberbullying when they questioned the campaign's discrepancies.
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Delta State chapter and Xinus Medical Diagnostics have disavowed the document, confirming it belonged to Mbara and had been tampered with. The EFCC has acknowledged receipt of the petition and is expected to investigate the matter.
