From APGA to Labour: Peter Obi's Bold Stand Against Political 'Criminality' Exposed

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has justified his shifts across political parties- from APGA to PDP and then Labour insisting they stem from principle, not ambition.
In an Arise TV interview, Obi explained his journey was driven by a refusal to tolerate internal crises and "transactional politics." "We must dismantle this criminality that exists today," he declared, emphasizing his commitment to reforming governance and democratic values.
Addressing his APGA exit, Obi said it prevented disputes with his successor from undermining Anambra State's administration. He later joined PDP but left due to rule-breaking and transactional practices: "I cannot be part of a transactional system."
Obi also touched on Labour Party challenges, citing internal conflicts and legal battles. Despite aligning with figures now in parties like the African Democratic Congress (ADC), he urged focus on current commitments: "What is important is not what people were yesterday, but what they are today."
Public skepticism persists amid shifting alliances ahead of elections, but Obi remains resolute. "We are ready to work with people committed to change. If the process is compromised again, we will continue the fight," he affirmed, aiming to build a credible opposition against entrenched structures.
