PSC Monitors South-East Recruitment Exercise, Pledges Enhanced Public Sensitizatio

The Anambra State Police Command has today received the Secretary of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, in the course of his official monitoring tour of the ongoing police recruitment screening exercise in the South-East geopolitical zone.
The visit was conducted in furtherance of the Commission’s statutory oversight mandate to ensure that the recruitment process adheres to the principles of transparency, fairness, and merit. Chief Nnamani undertook a comprehensive review of the screening procedures and held consultations with personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, delegates of the PSC, representatives of the Federal Character Commission, and other relevant stakeholders.
He pledged the Commission’s continued collaboration with the Command to enhance public sensitization and encourage greater participation of indigenes in the Nigeria Police Force. He further commended the Anambra State Recruitment Screening Team for its exemplary organization and professionalism.
The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards throughout the exercise. He emphasized that comprehensive measures have been instituted to guarantee a credible and seamless recruitment process.
The Command wishes to reassure applicants and members of the public that the exercise remains transparent and strictly merit-based, and enjoins all applicants to comply fully with the prescribed guidelines. It further reiterates its resolute support for all initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity, professionalism, and integrity of the Nigeria Police Force.
