Rufai Oseni Debunks Suspension Claims, Says He’s on Official Duty in Germany
Arise News presenter Rufai Oseni has refuted reports of his suspension from the station, describing the claims as false.
The rumor emerged online on April 14, 2026, following a post by High Chief Lawrence Igbins Okoro, which alleged that Oseni had been sanctioned after a heated altercation with a senior colleague during which a table was allegedly struck.
Mr Oseni addressed the speculation via his verified X account, stating that no disciplinary action had been taken against him. He disclosed that he is currently outside Nigeria on an official assignment in Germany.
"This is a lie, the man is lying. I was not suspended. I am on a working visit to Germany. This is fake news, kindly report that account," he wrote.
He urged the public to disregard the fabricated report, report the account responsible for circulating it, and noted that he remains fully active in his role at Arise News.
