Anambra Police Command Deploys 60 Operatives to Secure 2026 JAMB Examinations

The Anambra State Police Command has deployed sixty (60) Safe School Operatives to designated centres across the state to oversee the conduct of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations scheduled to hold from 15th to 26th April 2026. The deployment is intended to guarantee safety, security, and orderliness throughout the duration of the exercise.
In an official statement released to journalists in Awka by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, it was disclosed that the operation, with operational bases established within the eight (8) Police Area Commands in the state, is under the coordination of the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, ACP Harrison Oruruo.
The statement indicates that the operation forms part of the Command’s proactive measures under the Safe School Initiative, which is intended to ensure a secure environment for candidates, invigilators, and examination officials, while preventing all forms of malpractice, disruption, or breaches of security.
The Command reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property and enjoins candidates and all relevant stakeholders to remain law-abiding and extend full cooperation to security personnel on duty.
