Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue, the Labour Party candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, has called on eligible residents across the district to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by registering and obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Speaking with journalists within his constituency, Ven. Ikezue described active participation in the electoral process as a fundamental civic responsibility and one of the most effective ways through which citizens can influence the future of Anambra State and Nigeria. He specifically urged youths and first-time voters to take advantage of the ongoing registration exercise and complete their registration before its scheduled conclusion on July 10.
According to him, “This is the time to register, obtain your PVC, and prepare to exercise your civic responsibility. Your vote remains your most powerful tool for influencing the quality of leadership and development you desire.”
The Labour Party candidate urged prospective voters to commence the registration process through INEC’s online portal and ensure they complete the mandatory physical verification requirements within the stipulated timeframe.
He further appealed to party supporters, community leaders, and stakeholders to intensify grassroots sensitization efforts by taking voter education campaigns directly to communities and households.
“Let this message reach every home. Encourage your neighbours, friends, and family members to register and obtain their PVCs. We must ensure that no eligible voter is excluded from this important democratic process,” he stated.
Ven. Ikezue emphasized that increased voter registration and electoral participation would deepen democratic governance, promote accountability in leadership, and contribute to sustainable development and social cohesion across the state.
He therefore urged citizens to fully utilize the opportunity provided by the CVR exercise and play an active role in shaping the future direction of Anambra State through the ballot box.
