Anambra Police Intensify Patrols, Promises to Protect Lives and Property

‎By Chizoba Njaka

‎The Anambra State Police Command has promised to continue protecting lives and property by sustaining intensified security operations across strategic locations in the state.

‎In a statement to journalists in Awka on July 20, Police Public Relations Officer SP Tochukwu Ikenga said the command continued its proactive policing strategy through enhanced visibility patrols, intelligence-led operations, confidence-building patrols, stop-and-search duties, and coordinated joint security engagements.

The measures, carried out despite adverse weather conditions, are designed to prevent crime, reassure residents, and ensure swift responses to security incidents.

‎SP Ikenga said the command remains steadfast in its constitutional duty and will deny criminal elements any opportunity to operate in Anambra.

‎The Commissioner of Police on the other hand assured Ndi Anambra that, working with other security agencies and stakeholders, the force will sustain these proactive measures to maintain law and order and strengthen public safety.

‎The command therefore urged residents to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and security-conscious, and to report suspicious persons or activities promptly to the nearest police station or via the command’s emergency response channels.
