‎The Senatorial Campaign Council of the Labour Party candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue, has joined Nigerians in celebrating women who continue to excel in professions and leadership positions traditionally dominated by men, saying their achievements demonstrate that competence and excellence transcend gender.

‎Speaking to journalists in Awka on July 21, the campaign council shared it's determination to promoting women's empowerment at all levels, while commending women who have distinguished themselves in public service and other strategic sectors. It noted that their outstanding accomplishments continue to inspire younger generations across the country.

‎Among those recognised was the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Kudirat Motonmori Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun, whose appointment to the nation's highest judicial office was described as a historic milestone and a testament to discipline, brilliance and integrity. The council also applauded the President of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Monica Bolna'an Dongban-Mensem, for her visionary leadership and efforts in strengthening public confidence in the nation's appellate justice system.

‎Also honoured was the Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Dr. Olugbemisola Titilayo Odusote, whose commitment to training future legal practitioners was described as invaluable to the growth and development of the legal profession. The Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, was equally commended for her dedication to effective governance and public administration in the state.

‎The campaign council further congratulated the President-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association, Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, expressing confidence that her tenure would advance lawyers' welfare, strengthen professional ethics and uphold the rule of law.

Encouraging Nigerian women and girls to pursue their aspirations with confidence, the council urged them to embrace hard work, integrity and faith, stressing that no dream is beyond attainment. It also called on men to become partners in advancing women's progress rather than standing in their way, noting that no nation can attain sustainable development by overlooking the talents and contributions of half of its population.

‎The council assured its constituents that, if elected Senator for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue would champion legislation and policies aimed at expanding opportunities for women in leadership, business and governance.
