Fed Poly Oko Wins Cisco's Prestigious Top Performing Polytechnic Award

Federal Polytechnic Oko has earned national recognition after receiving the prestigious Top Performing Polytechnic Award from Cisco Networking Academy in acknowledgment of its outstanding achievements in technical and vocational education, digital innovation, and academic excellence.
The award was presented on July 22 during the Council of Heads of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in Nigeria (COHEADS) meeting held at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where the institution was celebrated for its exceptional contributions to ICT education, digital skills development, industry collaboration, quality assurance, and the production of highly skilled graduates.
The recognition underscores the institution's growing reputation as a leader in technology-driven education and reflects the transformative leadership of the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, whose administration has championed digital transformation, strengthened industry partnerships, and promoted staff and student capacity building.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Polytechnic, Dr. Awuzie dedicated the honour to the Governing Council, Management, staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders, describing the achievement as a collective success made possible through their commitment and support.
She reaffirmed the institution's resolve to sustain global best practices in technical and vocational education while expanding access to industry-relevant digital and ICT skills that will equip graduates to compete effectively in the global workforce.
