ANSACA Takes Free HIV, TB, Malaria Screening to Ekwulobia, Reaches Residents With Grassroots Healthcare
The Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA) has taken its grassroots health intervention to Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area, offering residents free screenings for HIV, tuberculosis (TB), malaria, hepatitis and other health conditions.
The outreach also featured health education and basic medical care as part of efforts to bring essential healthcare services closer to residents at the community level. The initiative was organised in collaboration with Youths on Ground Progressive and Mentorship Initiative, led by Dr Obioma Nwuba and Hon. Azubuike Okafor, with support from KNCV.
The outreach provided an opportunity for residents to access preventive health services and receive information on the importance of early detection, treatment and healthy living.
Appreciating the organisers and partners for their contributions, ANSACA said the intervention reflected the importance of collaboration in strengthening community-based healthcare delivery.
The agency also expressed appreciation to the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for his continued support and for creating an enabling environment for health interventions across the state.
ANSACA reaffirmed its commitment to taking essential health services to communities across Anambra, particularly through grassroots interventions that promote prevention, early detection and improved access to basic healthcare.
The agency said such partnerships would remain vital to building a healthier population and advancing the state's health goals. “Together, we are building a healthier Anambra. Solution is Here,” the agency said.
