Anambra Joint Security Team Raid a Criminal Den, Recover Some Items

Anambra Joint Security Team has invaded a criminal den at Umudike Village, Amaokpala recovery substance suspected to be hard drugs and cash.


This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer,
Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, at Awka.


 According to the report, the Joint Security Team which comprises Police Operatives from Oko Divisional Headquarters and Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) Operatives, Amaokpala, acting on intelligent-driven information recently raided an identified criminal hideout at Umudike, Amaokpala in Orumba North Local Government Area which some items were recovered during the crackdown.


The items include large quantity of substance suspected to be hard drugs, two mobile phones and a cash sum of seventy-three thousand, one hundred and fifty Naira (#73,150) suspected to be proceeds from the sales of the substance.


It further revealed that the criminals took to their heels on sighting the Joint Security Team and ran into a nearby bushes. 


To ensure there is no reoccurrence in the area, the operatives have taken over the scene, destroyed the camp and are on the offensive against the criminals for possible arrest and to make sure they don't regroup anywhere in the State.
