Anambra: Police Operative Intercepts Two Suspects at Check Point, Recover Ammunition

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Nnaghe Obono Itam has assured that the Command shall continue to evolve strategy and improve operational positioning in the State to nip to the bud of criminal elements.

He made this statement in a report signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga after the Operatives of the Special Anti-Cult Squad, Enugwu Ukwu arrested two suspended criminals at a Security CheckPoint, Umudioka-Awkuzu road by Igbariam.

Giving account on the incident, he explained that they were four in number but two was arrested out of the four occupants who were in a white Toyota Corolla vehicle with registration number YAB 26 CB as one Barrera pistol, two live ammunition and Toyota Corolla vehicle were recovered by the team.

The report disclosed the suspects name as;  Raphael Peverga and Saakura Teryima both aged 22 years old who held from Benue State noting that efforts are ongoing to arrest the other two suspects that are currently on the run. 

He also revealed that the suspects disembarked from the vehicle while still in motion when the Operatives ordered them to park their vehicle for a Security search.
