This successful operation was carried out by police operatives from Nnobi Division, in collaboration with the Awka-Etiti Vigilante Group, on October 13, 2025.

‎According to an official statement released in Awka by the Anambra State Police Command's Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the operation yielded the recovery of four Kymco 125 motorcycles suspected to be stolen property.

‎Following meticulous surveillance and intelligence-driven investigation, the operatives successfully apprehended the suspects, resulting in the recovery of the stolen motorcycles.

‎In recognition of this achievement, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, extended his appreciation to the operatives and the Awka-Etiti Vigilante Group for their synergy and swift action. He reiterated the command's reliance on public cooperation and urged citizens to continue providing credible information to aid in the fight against crime and maintenance of law and order in the state.
