CP Orutugu Hails Security Agencies, Residents for Peaceful Yuletide

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has commended officers of the Command and other security agencies for their dedication, courage, and professionalism during the Yuletide security operations across the state.
In a statement issued in Awka by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Commissioner said the synergy between the Police Command, sister security agencies, and other security stakeholders was key to the peaceful and hitch-free celebrations recorded during the festive period.
He also expressed appreciation to Ndi Anambra for their cooperation, vigilance, and support, stressing that effective community partnership remains central to successful policing.
As Anambra ushers in the New Year 2026, CP Orutugu urged residents to deepen their collaboration with security agencies by providing timely and actionable information on suspicious activities. He reassured the public of the Command’s unwavering commitment to proactive policing and the protection of lives and property.
The Anambra State Police Command, he added, remains steadfast in its resolve to sustain and improve strategies that will continue to enhance public safety and security across the state.
